Home Office investigation

Lisburn was one of the 19 locations across Northern Ireland targeted in an operation carried out by Home Office Criminal Investigation and Immigration Enforcement teams on Tuesday.

A total of ten arrests were made, seven Pakistanis were working illegally, four overstayed their visas, two were working in breach of their visa while one entered the country illegally.

Officers targeted mobile phone accessory carts that were located in a variety of shopping centres.
