Homecare provider operating in Magherafelt announces 60 new jobs

A homecare provider that operates in Magherafelt has announced 60 new jobs after winning a major contract the Health Services Executive.

Homecare Independent Living is creating 20 full-time posts at its headquarters in Milford, while the remaining posts will be based in the south of Ireland.

The company, which employs over 1,200 people across the island of Ireland, is investing in a new team to meet its growth plans.

Adrian Norton, Chief Operating Officer at the company, said: “As a leader in the homecare provision marketplace it is essential that we have clear strategies in place to allow our business to evolve. Planning is key, investment is key and investing in the right people will empower us to drive our agenda forwards as a leader in homecare provision.

“Last year, when we officially opened our Belfast offices, we announced a significant investment in technology, software development, advanced staff training and transportation as part of the drive to enhance services supporting rural and urban areas here in Northern Ireland.

“Today’s announcement further demonstrates our commitment to investing in the communities in which we serve.”

Homecare Independent Living provides domiciliary, support, nursing, housing and continuing care services and operates in the north and south of Ireland.

The award winning company, which is celebrating 20 years this year, was set up in 1995 by Chief Executive, Mairead Mackle, a qualified healthcare professional.

It has its own charity, iCare, which raises money for people in need in the community by granting iCare Wishes.
