Jude, who is orginally from Belfast, said that she was ‘delighted’ for her designs to be featured on the programme.

Viewers can get a peek at the stunning Victorian harbour side townhouse on channel four.

Speaking about her work, Jude, who has been an interior designer for 15 years, said: “This Victorian harbour-side townhouse is home to a family of surfers, paddleboarders and skateboarders, so it needed to be both practical and stylish.

“The brief was to reflect the stunning coastal location, use reclaimed materials and some of the client’s own pieces, and to create an open plan kitchen diner with the ‘wow’ factor for entertaining.

“After seeing the home featured in a magazine, channel four researchers got in contact with me for their programme.

“This house was perfect for them as it was right next to the sea.”

The channel four cameras filmed the house last week.

Explaining more about her role, Jude said: “It’s about making sense of a house, you don’t want to impose a modern interior on an old house.

“The designs have to be right for the house and right for the client, it all has to make sense.

“When I meet a client I find out what they want to achieve, then I get to work.

“I give them lots of ideas and see what is right for them.

“Sometimes its just about making right was is wrong in a house.

“I work with many local craftspeople and furniture makers to create my interiors.”

Speaking further about the Portrush home that will be feature, the designer added, “The house in Portrush is a family home, and I had to reflect that in my work.

“It had to be practical for the family, it had to be comforable for them, their children and their pets.”

Jude is currently restoring her own Victorian terrace in the seaside town - “I’ve taken on a big project,” she joked. “But it’s really good to get involved in the construction side of things.”

The programme will be on More 4 at 9pm on Tuesday.
