Homes evacuated following security alert in Magherafelt
A security alert is underway in Magherafelt following the discovery of a suspicious object, near the Courthouse.
Police are currently attending to the security alert in Derramore Park and Army bomb disposal experts have been sent to the scene.
Derramore Park has been closed between Derramore Court and Derramore Gardens and a number of houses in the area have been evacuated.
The Meadowbank Sports Arena has been made available for any evacuated residents in need of shelter.
