Hopes for flag-free Giro route
Environment Minister Mark H Durkan has held ‘positive discussions’ with political parties on an election poster free route during the Giro d’Italia cycle race that passes through East Antrim next month.
“If we can reach a voluntary agreement this would send a very positive message that our politicians have worked well together to ensure the Giro d’Italia will be an election poster free route when Northern Ireland is on a global stage,” said Mr Durkan.
