How can we motivate young people in church?

Ballymoney Church Forum is delighted to welcome Alice McAlary, of Alliance Youth Works to the Joey Dunlop Leisure, Ballymoney on Tuesday 17 September at 7.30pm.

Alice will deliver a presentation on “What can we do to motivate young people in our Churches?” – which will be followed by a question and answer session.

The evening is part of a series of networking events designed to bring people of faith together to discuss peace building.

The presentation has been organised by the newly- formed Ballymoney Church Forum, part of the Faith Works Project.

This project is funded under the European Union’s PEACE III Programme and is managed on behalf of the Special EU Programmes Body by the North East PEACE III Partnership.

The overall aim of the Faith Works Project is to increase the confidence and ability of individuals and communities to explore faith based issues.

It supports faith-based groups and networks to explore sectarianism and racism through a bespoke programme of learning, development and bottom-up initiatives across the six council areas of Coleraine, Ballymoney, Ballymena, Moyle, Limavady and Larne.

The project involves work at local council level culminating in more collaboration and sharing of experiences at a cross council and cross border level.

It will work with existing faith based forums and networks and will work to establish forums where none exist but are needed like the newly formed Ballymoney Church Forum.

Anyone with an interest in this topic is invited to attend and participate in the question and answer session at the conclusion of Alice’s presentation.
