How to sell on Social Media?

Over 100 local businesses from all sectors across Mid Ulster and Tyrone, attended the Council's final free business workshop to learn how to sell on Social Media more effectively.

The ‘Selling on Social Media’ workshop, was organised by Mid Ulster District Council, and took place in Ranfurly House, Dungannon. Due to the high demand an additional session was also held in the afternoon to accommodate all businesses.

The key focus of the workshop was on how to grow your business using social media and advanced advertising techniques. It was again facilitated by Daryl Conway from 42 Digital, and leading digital experts – Naomh McElhatton, Founder of the Dani Awards and Director of Digital Strategy at House of Comms, Andy Hill, Dokoo Digital and Niamh MacAuley, Purple Dot Videos - delivered practical workshops.

Topics covered at the event included: How to get the most from Facebook, Instagram and visual marketing, and mobile movie making.

The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson said: “This was the final in a series of very informative and innovative digital marketing workshops organised by the Council to help local businesses from all sectors promote, market and sell their products and services better online.

“The feedback from participants has been fantastic. I hope they continue to use the new skills acquired to enhance and develop their business.”

Daryl Conway added: “When Social Media is used correctly it can help to drive positive commercial results for your business. Today’s seminar examined three important elements to delivering real results for businesses.”

Those who attended the event found it extremely worthwhile. One delegate said the event was “very useful for any SMEs seeking to learn about Social Media”, while another said that “the workshop was very engaging and covered topics that were very pertinent to my day to day role.”
