Hundreds raised at fair

An antiques and craft fair at Whitehead Presbyterian Church Hall has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

The event, organised by the East Antrim branch of Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI, took place on Saturday. Despite facing some competition from the Giro d’Italia, which drew hundreds of spectators as it passed by in the afternoon, a total of £1250 was gathered at the fair.

It is the latest local boost for the charity, which also benefitted from the fundraising Lenten Lunches held by the United Parish of Saint Patrick’s Whitehead and St John’s Islandmagee.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI funds research into the causes and possible cures of leukaemia, lymphoma and other haematological (blood) cancers in Northern Ireland.
