Hundreds set to get new kitchens

The NIHE has listed their programme of work for the next year including maintenance work, kitchen replacements, double glazing and heating installation.

Areas zoned for maintenance include 100 homes in Parkmore, Craigavon, and 104 homes in the Lurgan area including Wakehurst, Waringstown, Cambrai Drive, Churchill Place, Main Street, Primary Walk, Windsor Close and Waring Terrace.

Hundreds of homes are to have kitchen replacements including Clarendon Park, Donard Gardens, Ardboe Drive, Glenfield Road, Colban Crescent and Tarry Drive in the Lurgan area and Cambrai Drive, Waringstown - a total of 102 homes.

In Portadown, areas to receive kitchen replacements include Ulsterville Park, Fitzroy Street, Alexandra Gardens, Stewarts Terrace, Robinsonstown - a total of 74 homes while in Craigavon 113 homes will get a new kitchen in Ardowen.

Homes will also receive new double glazing. They will include 85 homes in the Mourneview/Hospital/Grey Estate in Lurgan, 79 in Meadowbrook and there will be 234 benefiting from the scheme in areas to include Aghagallon, Shankill, Taghnevan, Maralin, Waringstown, Donacloney and Ardowen

Heating installation will also take place in Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown will benefit from new 15 year heating replacements.

Plus the Housing Executive has announced a three year programme of schemes in Grattan Park, Headington Drive, Brownlow Terrace in North Lurgan, Clonmeen in Craigavon and Corcrain Walk and Edward St in Portadown most in conjunction with a variety of housing associations.
