UUP representatives, Ross Hussey MLA and Alderman Derek Hussey, have welcomed confirmation from the Minister for Regional Development that Glenview Housing Development at Killen, Castlederg is expected to be shortly approved for adoption.
Alderman Derek Hussey said: “The situation at Glenview has been unacceptable for some considerable time and, both in the former Strabane District Council and now within the new Derry City and Strabane Council, I have urged that TransportNI (formerly DRD Roads Service) intervene through the site developer to bring the development up to the required standard to allow adoption of the entire area to proceed.”
He added: “Thankfully, at least on the Glenview site that I have been in this week, an end is now in sight.”
