'I would walk a million miles' - court

A MAN who shouted 'You are f--king dead you b-t-h' to a woman has now told a court: "I would walk a million miles away from her'.

The Magistrates Court in Coleraine was told last Wednesday Darrell McKeown (37), with a Newtowncrommelin address, drove by the woman in Bridge Street, Cushendall, on May 24, 2008, and shouted the abuse.

He was fined 200 for breach of a Non-Molestation Order.

District Judge Richard Wilson asked McKeown if he had “wised up” and if he was going to stay away from the woman and the defendant said: “I would walk a million miles away from her.”
