Iceland: Ash, cash and cod

THE North Coast Association of the National Trust begins its year on Tuesday, February 7 when Robert Park will give an illustrated talk on Iceland.

Robert, who taught for thirty years in both Coleraine Inst and Coleraine High School, before becoming a coach driver and organiser of coach tours, is a passionate hill-walker and has visited Iceland twice.

His talk will reflect time spent in the Reykjavik area, the Snaefellnes peninisula to the north and the very remote fjord country around Isafjordur in the far north west.

He has called his talk ‘Iceland: Ash, Cash and Cod’ and will be illustrating it with his own photographs.

The talk will take place from 8pm at the Best Western Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush. All are, of course, welcome.

Cost of admission (payable at the door) is £4.00 and includes tea/coffee and biscuits after the talk.
