IDB relinquished Arntz site in 1994
THE site of a doomed manufacturing plant in Londonderry is not subject to any governmental covenant on usage or occupation the Investment Minister Arlene Foster has confirmed.
Asked whether the Arntz Belting site in Pennyburn was subject to any conditions the Minister stated: "Invest NI no longer has any controlling interest in the estate or the sites therein.
"Invest NI's predecessor, the Industrial Development Board, sold the freehold of the Arntz Belting site in 1994 in line with prevailing Government policy at the time.

Hide Ad"Invest NI therefore has no record of any covenants or controls which may currently apply on the usage of the site."
The Minister revealed the details in response to a question tabled at the Stormont Assembly.
