Ideal conditions for Vintage Club match

WEATHER and ground conditions were ideal for Saturday's annual ploughing match organised by the Carrickfergus Vintage Club, held on the lands of Mr Ross Kenny, Lindsay's Corner, Doagh.

The proceeds from the match will go to this year’s chosen charity, ASBAH, with the cheque to be handed over at the club’s Annual General Meeting next month.

This year, too, there will be no presentation dinner, with the awards handed over in the field by Mrs Eileen Kenny, wife of the landowner.
