ILEX running costs £5m

THE Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) sponsored Londonderry regeneration company ILEX to the tune of over £5m between 2008 and 2011.

OFMDFM forked out £5,484,000 in total; £1,298,000 in 2008/9; £1,780,000 in 2009/10; and £2,406,000 in 20010/11.

First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness revealed the grant-in-aid funding of ILEX relating to “the total running costs of the body, and including programme expenditure by that body, in addition to its staffing, overhead, and operating costs,” in response to an Assembly Question.
