Ms Bradley said: “I have been working with Housing Executive tenants in the Abbeyville Park area for some time in an effort to address what I believe has been a serious under investment in properties in the area over many decades. Residents have been in a state of limbo in recent years due to uncertainty around planned improvements to properties in the area. I recently submitted a written question in the Assembly to the Minister for Social Development Mervyn Storey MLA, and am pleased to have received confirmation of a much needed multi-element improvement scheme scheduled for Abbeyville Park in March 2016.”

The scheme will include re-roofing, removal of aluminium cladding and provision of external insulation board, as well as kitchen replacements, kitchen rewiring, window replacement and door replacement where necessary.

The planned improvements represent a significant investment by the NIHE in its properties - something Ms Bradley feels will greatly improve the quality of life of local residents.
