Inadequate lights at car park

QUESTIONS have arisen about lighting at Moore’s Lane Car Park off Lurgan’s Union Street.

Local businesses say the car park is inadequately lit and with the darker evenings, the pay and display machine is barely visible to use.

Nigel Carson of McKerr’s in Union Street said the car park is not properly lit up and you can’t see the signs saying it is a pay and display car park.

He said the lighting from the road does not light up the car park and there is insufficient light for customers to see the machines to pay for the parking.

A spokesperson for the Department of Regional Development’s Roads Service said: “We are aware of a complaint about inadequate lighting at this car park and are currently investigating this matter.”
