Incidents of arson in Wakehurst area

On Monday, October 11 a navy blue Mercedes C180 was set on fire in Rectory Road at approximately 4.45am.

Police are investigating a racial motive for the attack. It's understood that the driver's window of the car was smashed before the vehicle was set alight.

Police are also appealing for information about a second incident at Rectory Park.

Shortly before 4.30am on Friday, October 22 it was reported that a bin had been set alight and a garden hose slashed.

Anyone who may have been in the Rectory Road or Rector Park areas at the time of these incidents is asked to contact police at Lurgan on 0845 600 8000.
