The North Road school organised activities, both indoor and outdoor, to help the pupils get to know each other better before the more formal learning in the classroom starts.

A statement from the college added: “The day was a great success with teachers already spotting future team leaders and innovators - the pupils were coming up with business ideas in their enterprise day and coming up with problem solving ideas during their activities outside.

“All of the teachers at the college wish to extend a warm welcome to the new year 8 pupils and wish them every success as they embark on their academic career at the school.”
