Chair of the Council, Councillor Linda Dillon, is encouraging local people to drop into the Burnavon to meet the team who will be leading the project:

“This is an opportunity to gain an understanding of the extent and scale of the public realm scheme and to put faces to the names of the people who will be leading the works and who have a detailed knowledge of each stage of the project.

“We are committed to ensuring our residents and traders are well-informed about what’s happening at each stage, and as well as briefings, letters and a dedicated web page, the contractor also has two public liaison staff who are key points of contact for anyone who needs information or has queries or questions, both now and for the duration of the scheme”.

The public realm works will be carried out in stages in James Street, William Street and adjoining streets to the east and west.

The open information sessions take place on:

· Thursday 15th October, 10am – 12noon, Burnavon

· Friday 16th October, 10am – 12noon, Burnavon
