Information night about ‘Angel of Hope’ garden

The Magherabuoy House in Portrush will be hosting an information night about the Angel of Hope Memorial Garden on Tuesday, August 4 at 7.30pm.

As we revealed earlier this month, the garden will be officially opened on August 30.

The Coleraine mum behind the project, which has been in the pipeline for the past three years, says that the night will provide an update on the project.

Andrea McAleese believes that the garden, near Cloonavin, will be a place of peace and comfort for parents of children who have passed away too soon. She said: “The garden will contain stars which will have the names of children who have died. The stars cost £100 and will be engraved with the christian name of the child and their age. Sponsor sheets are available from me at Romaya or from John at the site.”

Explaining more Andrea added: “We have included a raised planting area for people who wish to remember children they have lost through miscarriage.

“This will be dedicated to those children who were lost through miscarriage or were still born.”
