Thirty young people from South Eastern Education and Library Board youth groups will join their Polish compatriots in Ardnabannon Outdoor Education Centre, Castlewellan. They will take part in a series of joint activities to encourage the development of co-operation and inter-cultural understanding.

The Northern Irish group will be made up of 10 young people from the Protestant/Unionist tradition (from Newtownards), 10 young people from the Catholic/Nationalist tradition (from the Lecale area of Down) and 10 young people from non-traditional backgrounds (from greater Lisburn) including young people whose families have moved here from Poland.

It is hoped that our programme will send out a strong message of acceptance and accommodation of diversity.
