Inner Wheel quiz

Challenging questions were set by quiz master Derek Andrews, husband of President Liz.

Scores were neck and neck with final success going to ‘Teresa’s Team’.

Funds raised on the evening will go to ‘Breast Cancer’.

In January District Chairman Norma Coggin visited the Club and shared an enjoyable evening with members in the Ivory restaurant in Moira.

In spite of icy conditions a coffee morning at the end of January was well attended. Members have also been knitting blankets for overseas projects.

On the lighter side there has been a beauty evening with a demonstration by Sorella of Waringstown and a card making evening with everyone just about managing to make an attractive Easter card!

In February Rotarians invited Inner Wheel to join them for a meeting and a meal, also in the Ashburn Hotel and very generously presented Inner Wheel secretary, Anne Miller, with their Paul Harris award.

Outside regular meetings members meet for coffee once a month in Alana Interiors for a casual chat and catch up.

The book club also meets once a month in Emmanuel and have already read the much talked about book by Steig Larsson, now the film ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’.
