Inner Wheel rolls out a charity boost

On one occasion, an afternoon tea party - held at Ballygally Hall - brought together more than 100 ladies for a calorie-counting event with a cup cake demonstration.

The first prize in the raffle was kindly donated by P&O Ferries and was won by Marlene Gordon.

Anne Bennett of the Inner Wheel Club of Larne said the members would like to to thank all the club’s sponsors for raffle prizes throughout this past year and to all who supported their charity events.

“More than £2,000.00 was raised during the year with Alzheimer Association and Cancer Focus Northern Ireland receiving £1,000 each. Overseas charities also received donations,” she said.
