A LONDONDERRY church will next week look at current world events in light of Bible prophecy and consider how globalisation may be a gateway for the antichrist.

Other topics for consideration during the series of special meetings at Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church include “The Middle East” and “Jesus is coming - are you ready?”

The series is entitled “What in the world is happening?” Two pastors from County Tyrone will speak during the Gospel Mission between Sunday, September 12, and Friday, September 24.

Rev William Park a native of Cookstown - where he was converted to Christ at 12 years of age - will speak about the fulfillment of Bible prophecies as seen in current world events during the opening nights of the mission.

Rev Park was involved in Church planting in Dungannon and Coleraine and is now pastor of Enniskillen Independent Methodist Church.

He is married to Helen and they have two married sons and four grandsons.

He said he was looking forward to sharing the gospel in Newbuildings and renewing friendship with those he has known from previous visits.

Rev Philip Johnston was born in Nigeria to missionary parents. After education in Omagh he spent some years in the engineering industry but after hearing God's call attended Bible College in Portrush.

He has spent the past 24 years as pastor of Omagh Independent Methodist Church and is married with four children.

He stated: "My longing is that the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ should be exalted in all we seek to do and say during this mission."

The meetings will take place at 3.30pm on Sunday’s and at 8pm from Monday to Friday at Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church, on the Duncastle Road. Everyone is welcome.
