THE Western Health and Social Care Trust's (WHSCT) Community Children's Nursing Team were delighted to recently accept a donation from Dermot and Sinead McFadden in memory of their son Oisín.

Western Trust Community Children’s Nurse Patricia Meehan, accepted the donation of 2,120.00 on behalf of the Children’s Nursing Team.

Family friend Hugh Doherty raised the money on behalf of the McFadden family by running the Belfast Marathon and raising sponsorship in memory of Oisn who was cared for by the Community Children’s Nursing Team.

Western Trust Community Children’s Nursing Team Leader, Carmel O’Kane said: “I am delighted and honoured to receive this donation on behalf of the Trust and the nurses who knew and cared for Oisn.

“The Community Children’s Nursing Team would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dermot and Sinead McFadden for their considerate and generous donation to the Trust and to Hugh for his hard work fundraising.

“The Team will ensure that the funds are used to acquire equipment that will benefit other children, like Oisn, who are in our care.”
