LONDONDERRY entrepreneur Grainne Kelly, the inventor of the BubbleBum inflatable car booster seat, has landed a major partnership deal with Holiday Autos, the world's largest car hire broker.

The BubbleBum product, which has been safety approved, was launched earlier this year and offers a lightweight and portable solution for children aged between 3 and 11 years. The partnership deal will see Holiday Autos offering the seats on exclusive terms through its website.

“Modern families do a lot of travelling in cars, coaches and taxis, and bulky, heavy booster seats just aren't practical to carry around even for one child, never mind if you have two or three,” said Grainne Kelly. “In developing BubbleBum, my aim was to create a product that could be easily carried everywhere, meaning that no one would have any excuse for putting young lives at risk in cars.

“I am delighted to have agreed terms with Holiday Autos which will see BubbleBum seats being made more widely available in the run up to the busy holiday season.”

Holiday Autos has recently completed a survey which revealed that one in ten families say they’ve been let down on car seats by hire firms in the past, having booked seats that have not materialised at airports.”
