Inspiring address at Maggie's funeral

THE passing of Mrs Margaret Jardine 46C Reilly Park, Banbridge, took place at Daisy Hill Hospice on Saturday February 13.

She was the dearly loved wife of Gordon and devoted mother of Linda and Janet.

Maggie, as she was affectionately known to her many friends, had been a resident in Seapatrick Care Home for the last four to five years and had been tenderly cared for by all the staff there.

She had been employed in her younger days in the British Optical Factory in Lurgan and then left to look after her home and family.

She loved to read crime novels and knitting was a speciality. She was a member of Ballydown Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband Gordon, two daughters Linda and Janet, son-in-law Joe, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended. The funeral service took place in Ballydown Presbyterian Church on Tuesday when Reverend Adrian Moffett gave an inspiring address.

The hymns “The Lord’s My Shepherd” and “Abide With Me” were sung. Diane Murphy presided at the organ.

The interment took place afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu of flowers are being sent to William Bell and Co Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Patients Comforts Seapatrick Care Home.

William Bell and Co had charge of the funeral arrangements.
