International Day of Peace concert planned

Later this month Mid Ulster District Council will be celebrating International Peace Day 2016 with a special concert.

On Wednesday September 21 at 7.30pm, the Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown, will host the first ever ‘International Day of Peace’ concert.

As well as marking the global community recognition of International Peace Day 2016, the concert will also be celebrating community relations and cultural awareness week in Mid Ulster.

The concert will showcase the tremendous and diverse range of youth talent in Mid Ulster. The concert, delivered in partnership with Mid Ulster district Council Good Relations & Mid Ulster Clergy Forum, will enjoy performances from many of our local schools, the Donald Canavan traditional musicians, Ulster Scots Juvenile pipers, Cookstown Youth Choir, and Rev David Bell.

The evening promises to deliver an evening of entertainment featuring our local talent & Marking an important contribution to the global Peace celebrations. The concert is free, but admission is by ticket, which can be reserved by contacting The Burnavon Theatre.
