Introduction to Screen Writing at The Braid

ALWAYS been interested in writing? Ever wanted to try writing for television or the Big Screen?

If so, you’ll be delighted to hear that Ballymena Arts Partnership has organised two screen writing workshop sessions for the Saturdays of October 6 and 20, from 10am-4pm in the Studio Theatre at The Braid, prcied just £20.

They will be led by award winning filmmaker and media professional, Dean Hagan, who has extensive knowledge and experience of the creative process.

A representative from Northern Ireland Screen will also attend to advise on the opportunities, support and assistance available in Northern Ireland for writers.

Registration takes place between 9.30am to 10am on each Saturday but advance booking at the Braid box office (Tel: 028 25 635900) is recommended by the organisers to ensure a place.

Rosalind Lowry, Arts and Events Officer with the Borough, said: “We hope this event will encourage local writers and enthusiasts to develop their skills, and we hope this will be the first of many more opportunities for local creativity.”
