'Intruder' disturbed

The incident occurred at 10.15am last Thursday (September 9) at Balmoral Avenue. A member of the public reported disturbing the male while attempting to gain entry; the would-be intruder then ran off via Cable Road, Alexandra Avenue and Brooklands.

The person officers would like to speak to is described as being in his early twenties, with short dark hair. He was dressed in a black jacket and jeans.

Police have also appealed for information on the vandalism of the town's public toilets, where a number of windows were reported broken on September 8.
