Inver Area Women’s Institute annual competition awards

INVER Area Women’s Institute annual competitions, held in First Larne Presbyterian Church hall, displayed the many and varied skills of WI members.

The high standard of exhibits on show made judging very difficult and the members of the public who visited the event were able to see for themselves the hard work involved.

Chairperson Jacqueline Moore extended a warm welcome to all present and congratulated all WI members on the magnificient entries. She also expressed her sadness and thanks in saying goodbye to Federation Executive member Joan Arnold who has completed her three years in office. Glynis Alexander presented Joan with a basket of flowers and a gardening token while members stood to give her a standing ovation.
