At around 9.45pm, it was reported that windows at a property in Knocksallagh Park had been smashed and a car damaged. Graffiti was also daubed on both.

The incident is not believed to be linked to the disorder in the Woodburn area of Carrickfergus the previous night.

East Antrim Alliance MLA, Stewart Dickson, condemned those responsible for the attack.

“I am appalled by this attack. There can be no justification for targeting somebody’s home,” he said.

“Those responsible are cruel and callous individuals who are damaging our community.

“My thoughts are with the people who live in this house. This must have been a very distressing experience.
