Investigation underway as man dies in Lisurn police cell
The Police Ombudsman’s Office is investigating the death of a man in a cell at Lisburn Police Station in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the man, who was in his late twenties, had been arrested late on Thursday night.
Investigators have been at the scene throughout the night and have also spoken to his immediate family.
A spokesman for the Police Ombudsman said: “The man’s name will not be released until all his family have been informed.”
