Councillors Terry McWilliams, Phil Moutray and colleague Carla Lockhart MLA said they have been working hard to deliver on their promise to the people of Lurgan.

The DUP trio said: “To see investment in Lurgan Park, Dollingstown, Avenue Road and Magheralin is a great achievement and one that will be welcomed by the play park users and wider civic society.

“Over £400,000 will be invested in the next two years, with Lurgan Park being in receipt of approximately £250,000 which will see it developed into a more modern and inclusive park similar to that of Wallace Park or Solitude Park in Banbridge.

“We have also highlighted the need for more disability equipment and provision so that this park caters for all our children’s needs.

“Avenue road will also achieve investment of over £50,000 in new modern equipment and we would commend the community group operating in the local area for their tenacity in lobbying for this local facility. Magheralin and Dollingstown spend will take place in year two of the five year plan. This again will see two rural play areas totally transformed.

“Our focus is too future proof our towns and villages with services that our fit for purpose. We will be working hard with council to deliver on these promises.”
