Invitation to celebrate the season at Port of Larne

Port of Larne in association with P&O Ferries, and Seatruck is inviting everyone to enjoy a night of Christmas carols around the Christmas tree on Thursday, December 15.

A firm favourite in the Christmas calendar of events the concert will start at 6.45pm in Port of Larne’s passenger terminal with music provided by Magheramorne Silver Band and St MacNissi’s and Cairncastle Primary School choirs.

Pastor Samuel Cowan from the Seamen’s Christian Friends Society will lead the service, with special prayers from Very Rev Dermot McKay, Parish Priest of Larne.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “We are also very pleased to announce that Colin Hall Thompson, chaplin to Mission to Seafarers and Samuel Cowan from Seaman’s Christian Friends Society will deliver presents to seafarers working during the Christmas period.

“The evening will culminate around 7.30pm with tea, coffee and mince pies.

“It always proves to be a fun night; all age groups, nationalities and faiths are welcome.”
