Invitation to join Old Boys Silver Band

Christmas has arrived early for members of First Larne Old Boys’ Silver Band who have just learned they are to receive a boost from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

The well-known local outfit is delighted to have been awarded a grant of £5,000 for the purchase of new musical instruments.

This funding has enabled the band to purchase a number of new instruments.

The band is currently expanding and would encourage any brass players, or anyone who is interested in playing a brass instrument, to consider joining their ranks.

Anyone interested in learning more about the band is warmly invited to go along to the weekly band practice held on Mondays at First Larne Presbyterian Church.
