‘Is Christ divided?’ is unity service theme

The Christian Unity Service held recently in the McNeill Theatre, Larne Leisure, was well attended by some 80 people.

The Mayor of Larne, Cllr Maureen Morrow, took part in the service, which was led by representatives from many Christian denominations in the borough, with pupils from the four local post-primary schools reading passages from the Bible based on the theme: “Is Christ Divided?”

The readers were Aine McDonnell, St Killian’s College; Mason Kerr, Roddensvale School; Michael Wilson, Larne Grammar; and Glen Dubbelaar, Larne High. The sermon was given by Fr Aidan Kerr. Music was provided by St Cedma’s church choir, led by Archy McNeill and accompanied by flautist Roderick Bain.
