Islandmagee sea search
An air and sea search was sparked in Islandmagee last night in connection with a missing person investigation.
The Coastguard, RNLI crews from Larne and helicopter from Prestwick in Scotland joined a PSNI helicopter in the operation.
A spokesperson for Larne RNLI said: “An all-weather lifeboat was launched at 10.30 pm when a request came from the Coastguard following a report of a missing person in the Whitehead area.

“After a very thorough search of the coastline and surrounding area took place, the search was stood down shortly before 2.00 am.”
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed that the missing person investigation is continuing.
