It’s a first for Anderson’s Band with launch of CD

Members of Constable Norman Anderson Memorial Flute Band have launched their first ever CD entitled ‘Absent Friends’.

The CD features 23 musical tracks and was given its title in memory of those band members who served the outfit with considerable distinction down through the years but who have since passed away.

T he CDs are priced at £10 each and for every copy sold, the band is pledging to make a £1 donation to Roddensvale School.

A further donation will be made to the Factory Community Forum.

A spokesman for the band said that special thanks are extended to the Factory Community Forum as it is was through its support that the band was able to produce the CD.

Copies of the CD are currently available from band members and also fromo the Larne Glasgow Rangers Supporters Club.

They will also be available from members on the band’s annual trip to Scotland for the Central Boyne celebrations on the July 6.

Among those who helped members of the band celebrate the launch of the CD recently was newly-elected Deputy Mayor, Councillor Drew Niblock.
