It’s a Kellys reunion night!

IT’S the place where hundreds of romances have been born and thousands of tunes danced to - Kellys in Portrush.

And now two former employees are organising a reunion night to raise money for two fantastic local charities - Action Cancer and Willie’s Orphan Fund.

Marino Morelli and Sarah Butcher came up with the idea while discussing the notion of organising a staff reunion event.

Marino told the Times: “At the start we were talking about having a staff reunion but then we decided to enlarge the event to open it up to everyone who used to go to Kellys.

“We saw how successful the Strand Reunion night in Kellys was at raising money for charity so we decided to run the event for two charities and that’s how Angela Chambers from Action Cancer and Willie Gregg from Willie’s Orphan Fund got involved.”

The Kellys reunion night has been arranged for Friday, June 10 with The Haciendas, a six piece funk and soul band, providing the music.

There will also be four guest DJS providing plenty of music from all four decades of Kellys’ history.
