It's a man's world - or is it?

THINK about this. In 2002 almost 98% of the Northern Ireland prison population was male with 51% of prisoners between 17 -2 9 years of age.

At a time when the need for male role models is becoming more and more important there are fewer males involved in youth work. Youth Service figures for Ballymena/Antrim/ Moyle for 2008-09 indicate that over 11000 young people attend youth service on an almost 50:50 gender ratio.

However the number of adult males involved in youth work is only about 38% across Ballymena, Antrim and Moyle.
