It's all go at the RNLI Firewalk

FIRE will not be the only thing on the agenda at the Kiln on Saturday, May 29 from 5pm: there will be lots of fun and frolics too at the eagerly awaited RNLI Firewalk.

Stephen Craig, chairman of RNLI Larne Fundraising Branch, is urging everyone not to miss out.

He said: “We have some brave souls who have signed up to take part and raise money for this fantastic charity.

“There are still some places available, so if you want to join in this firetastic event, please get your registration form now before it’s too late.”

Stephen added: “As well as the Firewalk itself there will be loads of family entertainment taking place. The kids can jump on the bouncy castles, enjoy the chicken run, party slide, ball pond and Demolition Zone; have their face painted; enjoy the balloon modeller; and marvel at the magic shows.

“For the young-at-heart we have lined up a bungee run, gladiator duel, large bouncy castle and Sumo wrestling suits,” said Stephen.

Entertainment will be provided in the new bar area by a Shadows tribute act, while in the niteclub DJ Stewart Harper will be playing music for all tastes along with Gary Andrews from Chaine FM and more of our local talented DJs.

The chairman said: “I’m sure many of you know someone who is on a lifeboat crew or has needed their services when out at sea, so you will know the importance of what they do.

“We really need to keep raising money for this charity, which receives no Government funding.

“I would like to thank the Kiln for sponsoring this event.”

The Firewalk is being run by BLAZE, who have 25 years’ experience.

Registration forms are available to download from the Calendar of Events page at www.rnli-larne-fundraising.org or by contacting Karen Bearns on 07734 818010, or Melanie Moore 07535 900612.
