IT’S WHO!

SOMEONE, somewhere in Lisburn is a cool quarter of a million pounds better off this week after a big money win on the Euromillions lottery.

The winning ticket, worth £250,000, was purchased in the city, but the identity of the winner has not been revealed.

The owners of the Mace store in Longstone Street were told just last week that the lucky ticket was bought in their shop six months ago - but the winner had opted to stay anonymous.

Vicky Leathem, who runs the shop with her husband Richard, said she was delighted when she heard the news.

“We didn’t know anything about it until we were contacted by Camelot” Vicky explained. “I would love to know who it was but I respect their privacy and really hope they are happy with their win. I hope it has gone to someone who really deserves it.”

Vicky explained there has been several substantial winners from scratch cards bought at the shop but this is the biggest win to date.

“It’s a great feeling to know someone has done well from buying a ticket here” she said. “I really hope they are enjoying the money.”
