Jack Knifed lorry closes part of M1 say PSNI

Part of the M1 motorway remains closed after a lorry jack knifed at lunchtime.

The country-bound lanes of the M1 near Portadown are shut as the PSNI deal with the situation.

It appears a lorry tanker has almost fell over on its side in the middle of the road.

It is unclear if there are any injuries at this stage.

Police said: “RPU Officers are currently dealing with a Jack Knifed tanker between Junction 11-12 Westbound.

“The M1 is currently closed in this area.

“It’s expected to be closed for the next 30 minutes.”

Trafficwatch NI tweeted: “M1 Westbound - jack-knifed lorry M1 Westbound around J11 Ballynacorr Interchange (M12 Exit at #Portadown)
