Christian Barclay, whose address was given as Union Street, Lurgan, was jailed for a total of seven months last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

He was sentenced to three months in custody for disorderly behaviour on February 12 this year.

A community order imposed for a disorderly behaviour offence and theft was revoked and replaced with a concurrent three month term.

Also put into operation was a four month suspended prison sentence, to run consecutively, making a total of seven months.

The court heard that on February 12 at 1am in West Street, Portadown, Barclay was refused entry to Bennetts nightclub because of his high level of intoxication.

He began kicking at shutters of shops and when he was approached by other people he became aggressive and agitated.

Barclay was also verbally abusive to police officers and was arrested for disorderly behaviour.

He previously had been given a community order but failed to comply with the requirements of that order and the probation service asked for it to be revoked.
