He pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a class B drug, cannabis, on October 16 last year and unlawfully attempting to have in his possession a class B drug, methadrone.

For each offence he was fined £250 and sentenced to three months in custody, suspended for two years.

A £100 fine was imposed for possessing fireworks and bangers without a licence at Forthill Green in Banbridge on October 16.

The court heard the offences came to light after police searched the address in Banbridge.

A barrister representing Ross said he had an extensive record and was now living in Bangor.

District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, pointed out that the defendant had 32 previous convictions for drugs offences.
