The young drummer, who is a member of Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band, entered for the under 13 age group Solo Drumming Competition. He played his competition piece accompanied by two pipers.

Jamie’s dad said: “It was an amazing competition. Jamie met the two pipers who were both aged 16 for the first time during practice and they got on really well.

“Once they started playing together, it was perfect and the competition piece sounded amazing. Jamie has made many friends by attending this competition and hopefully this is the start of his success. Jamie practices every day at home and at least two nights per week with his band.”
