Jason selected among next generation of healthcare leaders

JASON White, who is Assistant Director Health & Wellbeing with the South Eastern HSC Trust, ihas been chosen as one of 18 senior healthcare professionals throughout the United Kingdom to join the Health Foundation’s GenerationQ, a pioneering leadership programme to improve the quality of healthcare.

GenerationQ is aiming to create effective healthcare leaders for the future who understand how complex health systems work and can inspire others to transform healthcare quality. The programme helps fellows develop personal skills and strategies to deal with the complex challenges facing leaders in the modern NHS.

Jason is responsible for health improvement and community development initiatives across the South Eastern HSC Trust area that seek to measurably improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities, which have collectively brought in over £4m in new funding to the NHS from non-health sources. He is particularly interested in the importance of early intervention and prevention, especially in early years, to health outcomes for vulnerable groups.

The eighteen fellows are all senior leaders in their organisations from diverse healthcare settings and backgrounds and are based all across the UK.

Jason said: “The programme will enable me to learn, both from the experts at Ashridge Business School, and from other healthcare leaders across the UK. It is my hope that I can use this learning to further support the innovative work that the Trust is undertaking to improve the quality of care it provides to the population it serves.”
