Jewellers have hearts of gold

During the festive season, the jewellers who also have stores in Coleraine and Limavady, ran their annual ‘Season of Giving’ campaign.

This saw them giving a percentage of all sales from November 1st to Christmas Eve to Action Cancer.

This equated to a massive £7,000 donation for the charity, a fantastic sum of money for a single business to give away.

Colin Bond, proprietor of the family-run businesses, thanked everyone who helped boost the figure by purchasing items from the three local stores.

He explained: “ We are delighted to be able to donate £7,000 to Action Cancer. It is a fantastic organisation and we have no doubt that our donation will be put to great use in the fight against cancer.

“I would like to thank all our customers over the holiday period who shopped with us, without them, we wouldn’t have been able to donate so much.”

Gillian Thomson, Corporate Fundraising Officer with Action Cancer, paid tribute to the fundraiser organised by Bonds.

She said: “Their donation will help Action Cancer continue to save lives through early detection and support people affected by cancer.”
